I do love watercolour but there's some things you can only really get digital art, especially when it comes to colour. If it wasn't for this I'd be tempted to give up on digital art completely. So below are some examples of the extreme pure saturation you can only really get when working with digital's light.
All of the above are by fear-sAs, I only know his username. His colours are amazing, I'd have no idea how to work with such rich colours and it not to come out gaudy and harsh. I also love all the individual brush strokes that the details are made up out of, it's almost like it's been painted traditionally, maybe he used too, he also works on only one layer like a traditional painting. There's also a sort of slow transition in colour going on in the background with his brush strokes on top, making them stand out against it...hmm...
I donno, his work is stunning, I don't know how long it would take to get the skill with digital painting to do something like that.
These ones are all by Chibionpu, I think her name's Nicole? Anyway stunning colours again though this time a little more obvious she's focusing on two colours than fear-sAs, though he did it too. For the most part I'd say Chibionpu is focusing more on the over all shapes, composition and colours rather than including the little details which also works rather nicely. I imagine her style would be a bit easier to learn, maybe faster to do...though I'm really not sure.
It could be a good idea to do a little drawing in an artist's style I like every day, just something small and manageable, until I run out of ones I know....hmm, could be fun, don't know how it would work for digital since I'd want them all in one sketchbook, maybe just do them in paint.
